Ding, ding, ding….are we ready to rumble?????

I’ve always been a “thin” girl…since I was a child, I remember people saying I was too thin (yeah…I thought that was an insult back then)…then I modeled for a while and I was for a long time at a weight of 115-118lbs…on a 5’10frame…you can imagine it…

But of course, as is with life, time changes your body…It’s not bad, just different then when you’re in your 20’s. I remained a pretty healthy weight of 130-135lbs for almost all my adult life…
until….eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeekkkkkkkkkkkk……now…

I went to the doctor for my annual check-up a couple of weeks ago and of course, I was weighed (damn those lying scales). I was shocked to see my weight…it had pushed my own personal limit and the numbers were blinking back at me…almost taunting me….145, 145, 145, 145…..AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
It was right then that I decided that my indulgence of all deliciously greasy things would have to change…and not because I vow to become one of those people that can’t eat anything besides lettuce and ice, but because when my indulgence of food hinders my indulgence for fashion…then we have a serious problem…I refuse to go up and a size and I most definitely refuse to stuff myself into something that won’t fit…so what’s a girl to do but get back into shape…that means this ——> no-food

It’s starting today…so aren’t you lucky to be able to come along for this ride (say yes!)?
It’s simple…I’m going to post a picture of my weight per my scale every Monday and then describes what I did (or didn’t do) to help lose the weight.
So, here we are…first “weigh in”…like a boxing match, only it’s just me and my will power in the ring.

Weight: 143.6 (the scale Gods must have been on my side)

Activities today: 5 mile rollerblade, that’s got to count for some burned calories, right?

So…some of you must be thinking “why in the world is she posting her weight online for people to see?!”….well, I call that tough love.
Posting it, for the world to see, makes it real…and it makes it something that I can’t run away from…riiiiiiiight?????
So that’s it…this week I will work on cutting down on my carbs, my sugars but I’m keeping my wine…I mean, a girl has to have some fun in life, no?
Till next week…lots of low-fat love and calorie-free hugs to all of you!
By the way…this pictures is from my modeling days…and I don’t know why I was posing like that…although it turns out I do this a lot…although it’s usually when I’m standing in front of Epicure’s bakery department…I’m usually thinking “hmmmm, do I get 2 cookies or 3”….Guess I still have some of my old looks even if their meaning is different now ;)

we are consistently on the same page and yes! this is now the year of the salad. we’re getting older and better in most ways…exept one. but maybe it’s supposed to encourage our development of discipline? and just like you-my MAIN reason for getting back in shape is for the love of my wardrobe! love you, Martha D, stay fabulous;)

Rush….salads are the new cheese fries….ugh…..I feel sad just typing that, but alas….my jeans need love too….or an elastic waistband. Hopefully not….cause I don’t think I have enough fabulousness to make “mom” jeans cute…..

Lol!! I could just see those mom jeans making their way down the catwalks of Paris….oh yes, pleated slightly acid washed denim….the glamour…it’s almost too much to deal with.
Only way to finish the look would be to have the pants hemmed at right above the foot…floodwater lenght…red carpet ready!!! :)
