Naturally beautiful, Baby!

I was invited to the Big City Moms event at Jungle Island this past week and honestly, I was so excited to check out everything that the baby world has to offer. I’m a newbie in this world so being able to learn first hand from brands and experts was a real treat. Now, something you may not know about me is that I am an organic nut…meaning, I use, eat, buy and seek out organic or natural products. So it’s of no surprise that I gravitated towards companies and products that kept this in mind. Here are my favorite natural/organic products from the Big City Moms Largest Baby Shower event:

First product is this fabulous baby carrier by ErgoBaby. I love the idea of carrying your little cutie pie in a “cocoon” of sustainably grown cotton and dyed with only certified organic dyes…because that precious little baby skin should definitely be free of any toxicity.
Up next is the crème de la crème of skin care by Mama Mio. This full line features products for during pregnancy and after pregnancy…AND (the best part) they are free of colorants, parabens, petroleum and petrolatum products, phthalates, sulfates, synthetic fragrances and xenoestrogen. This beauty company has plenty of celebrities that swear by it including Jessica Alba, Victoria Beckham & Angie Harmon…and those ladies look AMAZING!
This small company, Zippy Suit, is the brain child of an actual Mother of 2. She created these onesies that have a snap/zipper combination. That way you can get into the onesies for changing purposes without having to completely unrobe the little nugget…thus keeping him/her warm and toasty. And these onesies are made out of organic cotton and bamboo…so they’re well thought out and eco-fabulous.
Ella’s Kitchen company has found a healthy and fun solution to the statement “he/she is a picky eater”. These pouches are filled with 100% organic ingredients and make eating a fun past time for even the pickiest of eaters. Their promises are what all food companies should do aspire to uphold so it’s wonderful to see this company start a trend with the youngest (and most important) consumers ;)
One of the cutest parts of a baby are the feet…soooo adorable. These shoes from Pediped  are designed to be the “next best thing to bare feet”. They’re made with the highest quality leather, hand stitching and a roomy toe box which allows foot growth and muscle development. The leather that is used for these baby shoes is held up to British and European Safety Standard for Toys…which means that this leather does not contain any toxic substances. Adorable leather shoes for tiny, adorable feet.
There’s probably nothing more toxic than all the household cleaners we have under our kitchen sink so it’s great wonderful to find out about Babyganics, a natural alternative to cleaning products. Babyganics makes their products free of parabens, sulfates, phthalates and toxins and they’re specially formulated with plant-based cleaning agents making them naturally safe and non-toxic.
The last item on my lists is from the powerhouse company of Maclaren. Beginnings, their newest addition, is a fabulous body care line that delivers a holistic care for both Mom and baby. Based on aroma-therapeutic and delicate formulas, their comprehensive line aids in the restoration of well-being and harmony. Maclaren aims to not only cover the mother and baby’s physical needs, but also their emotional and spiritual aspirations.
So, as you can see/read…there are some truly amazing products coming into the mainstream baby world and I for one am super happy. I love knowing that I will have options that are geared towards the way of life that I lead…natural, healthy and organic ;)

Thank you to Robin Diamond from Robin Diamond PR for the access to this fun and informative event. I had a great time!!
