The Eyes Have It

If the eyes are truly the windows to our souls, why not spruce up the “curtains” a tad? That was my mentality when Jen Woehle from Beau Ideal House of Beauty reached out to me and asked me to try out some eyelash extensions.
To be honest, I always thought my eyelashes were pretty great but the “after” effect was amazing. Check out the pictures to see for yourself what a couple hundred extra lashes can do ;)

Just for the record, eyelash extensions are not painful. Jen places soothing white eye pads along your lower lashes to keep them from intermingling with the top lashes. Then she begins the process of adding fine silk lashes to each eye. She painstakingly “walks” through your lashes to carefully glue the extension. She’s careful to follow the natural lash line and is meticulous with her gluing process (because honestly, globs of glue are never “in”).
I opted for the “natural” set. According to Jen, she added about 80 lashes to each eye. To see what the “full” set looks like, check out Maria’s post…it’s definitely more va-va-voom. A “full” set is about double the amount of lashes per eye.

I am absolutely in love with my new lashes…I feel that they look incredibly natural and because Jen is such a pro in this department, the treatment does not harm my natural lashes. With Art Basel coming up I need all my fashion super weapons readily available and thankfully, Jen will be in Miami to get us all looking our absolute best for the most fashionable week of the year.
Interested in booking her? She’ll be working in Miami out of the fabulous Browne’s & Co. studio both in South Beach and in the Design District. Give her a shout at: (650) 741-LASH.
Eyelash extension prices are:
Full set: $395.00
Natural set: $295.00
Refills: $89.00 for about an hour’s worth of lashes

If you’d could see me now, you’d see me batting my eyes at you, mouthing the words “do it, you’ll love it!” ;)

XOXO,
Martha
