Well friends, we have officially reached the age where Disney is not only a word in Mia’s vocabulary, it’s a destination and almost a lifestyle. We’ve got Disney videos, Frozen shirts, more Minnie Mouses than one can count (see above) and a playlist full of Disney songs…
Frankly, having grown up with Disney, I’m happy to see little Mia build her own “friendship” with these beloved characters. Tonight, we are heading up to VIP preview of Disney on Ice and I can’t wait to see Mia’s face as she meets Minnie Mouse for the first time. These are the things that childhoods are made of.
AFTER THE SHOW REVIEW:
Well, to be totally honest, I’m not sure who was more excited when Minnie appeared…me or Mia. I was clapping and cheering like a little girl and I realized that even though you grow up, Disney and its memories live with you always. The show was so much fun. We sang along to some of the great Disney classics (Mulan, Aladdin, Beauty & the Beast, Cinderlla) and enjoyed seeing our favorite characters come to life on ice.
I probably yelled the loudest when Fairy Godmother asked for the three magic words…Bibbidy Bobbidi Boo!
A true love’s kiss if I ever did see! The Disney on Ice show will be running in Fort Lauderdale through March 29th and then in Miami April 1st through 5th. I think this is such a wonderful event to share with your little one…truly something you’ll enjoy watching through their eyes (and you inner child’s eyes too)!
