JCPenney Glam Suite & IHeart Fiesta Latina event

When you get a chance to be pampered and personally dressed by a designer, you say yes…even if you’re extra swollen and the furthest thing from pretty (being 36 weeks pregnant will do that to you). I jumped at the chance to attend the IHeart Fiesta Latina event hosted by InStyle & JCPenney and I’m so happy I did. The entire day was one big pampering event followed by VIP seats and passes to the ridiculously fabulous IHeart Fiesta Latina concert (think JLO, Pitbull, Prince Royce and more).
The JCPenney Glam Suite was held in the super chic Delano Hotel Penthouse…so for that reason alone, I had to attend, right?

Here are more pics and a little recap from the event:

The makeup artists all came from different Sephora stores (which are conveniently located inside of a lot of JCPenney stores) and they were amazing. My makeup artist created her own eyeliner to match the purple hue of my dress and it was perfection. I had never even thought about wearing purple eyeliner but it totally worked. I may even try to do this at home…wish me luck ;)

The hair stylists came from several InStyle salons (also located inside JCPenneys)

We were styled by Michele Bohbot from Bisou Bisou and it was a trip! She’s super fun and engaging plus she’s got killer style so I was eager to see what she could do with my belly bump. I had picked out a long pleated maxi dress and a black duster and both fit really well (with some minor tucking in here and there) and I felt not only beautiful but also comfortable (big essential to this preggo mama).

She had two helpers that were armed with double sided tape, safety pins and other stylist essentials and they made the process flow. I felt like a celebrity ;)
My finished look felt chic and polished…exactly what I wanted and had hoped to achieve.
I’m wearing:

Big thanks to the rocking team from JCPenney for making this tired preggo mama look and feel like a million bucks…even if just for one evening ;)

XOXO,
Martha
