Winter in Miami

Winter in Miami is 100% about layers because the weather here has a slight bi-polar personality. It can be breezy and chill and then hour later, sunny and humid. You’ve got to be able to adjust or else you’ll be looking like a fool sweating profusely and cursing “Damn, when will the weather cool down?!” to anyone that will make eye contact with you. True story.
This is another dress that I received from the Pietro Brunelli team. It’s sleeveless which is obviously a win in my book. The color is perfect for year round wear depending on your accessories. After the baby is born (yep, he’s STILL not here…seriously), I may have the dress altered on the sides to make it more fitted but for now I love the simplicity and versatility of its cut.
Dressing for a tropical winter in Miami can be a little challenging but just remember, soon our “winter” will be gone and we’ll be back to just hot and hotter…so make the most of it while you can.

Dress: Cotton shift dress c/o Pietro Brunelli
Sweater: No name shawl/cardigan (similar here, here and here)
Boots: Suede wedge boots by Michael Kors (old but similar here and here)
Purse: Vintage clutch by Gucci

Wish me luck on these next few days and if you’ve got any suggestions on how to naturally induce a baby, let me know ;)
