38 & counting

Lucky me, not only do I start a new calendar year but I also get to start a new birth year.
My birthday falls on the 2nd and I think it’s pretty great. It’s like an extra kick from the universe to make sure I start anew with my mind and soul.
Turning 38 doesn’t feel like a special age year (like 30 or 40) but it does signify that I’m approaching a whole other chapter with my 40’s right around the corner.
We are all a work in progress and with every birthday, we can reflect on all the growth we’ve done in the past 365 days.
Looking back my greatest growth has come in the form of my patience. Being a mom will do that to you (if you let it). Patience is truly a virtue and one that I will continue to embrace for this next year of my life. Patience with myself, with others, with my body (still fighting to get back to my pre-baby weight), with life in general.

Coat: Silk trench coat by Kenneth Cole (similar here, here and here)
Dress: Column dress by Riller & Fount (similar here and here)
Shoes: Suede ankle sandals by Jimmy Choo (old but similar here)

38, shower me with love, teach me to be a better person in every way, and help me appreciate all the things that come my way.
XOXO,
Martha
