This post is sponsored by Sculptra ® Aesthetic. However, the thoughts and opinions are my own. Taxes, death (that’s morbid) and wrinkles…apparently all those things are unavoidable. Or are they? Obviously I can’t do much for you in the taxes and death department but I can lead you in the right direction with regards to those pesky wrinkles. I spent an evening with the Sculptra ® Aesthetic team recently and learned about this wonderful and groundbreaking new way to keep the aging process in slow-mo. Sculptura ® Aesthetic is an injectable that helps a patient gradually restore their own collagen which in turn gives your face that more youthful look we all strive for. I saw some before and after’s and I was shocked at how natural the process looks. I personally don’t want to look like I’ve had anything done so I’m always interested in learning about methods that… View Post
Fact: Being a mom of two is not for the weak…or those that need sleep to function. It’s a balancing act and it requires a lot from you. Not only are you loving, mothering, guiding two children, but you’re also worried about how you feed them and yourself…especially if you’re a breastfeeding mom like me. I’ve always believed that food is our fuel and the better quality the “fuel” is, the better the “engine” runs. Obviously I’m a big supporter of the organic/natural foods movement and totally anti artificial anything…including genetically modified organisms (GMO). Once you start going down that route it’s tough to go back and frankly, you don’t want to.
When you get a chance to be pampered and personally dressed by a designer, you say yes…even if you’re extra swollen and the furthest thing from pretty (being 36 weeks pregnant will do that to you). I jumped at the chance to attend the IHeart Fiesta Latina event hosted by InStyle & JCPenney and I’m so happy I did. The entire day was one big pampering event followed by VIP seats and passes to the ridiculously fabulous IHeart Fiesta Latina concert (think JLO, Pitbull, Prince Royce and more). The JCPenney Glam Suite was held in the super chic Delano Hotel Penthouse…so for that reason alone, I had to attend, right?
There are a kazillion perks to vacationing all summer BUT one downside is the effects that the sun, sea and hard water (very common in Europe) can have on your hair. I deal with this every summer in Switzerland. The water is extremely hard and it always leaves my hair fried towards the end of our stay. Sassoon Salon reached out to me and offered to “revive” my hair from the exhaustion of summer and I gladly accepted. After many swims in the Lake of Zurich and washing my hair with the Swiss hard water, my hair was thirsty and brittle. Step inside the Sassoon Salon in Miami with me and find out what steps they took to give my hair some much needed CPR ;)
It’s amazing how much you change as a person when you become a parent. For example, the kind of gifts that I usually asked the hubby for were pretty Princess typical. My usual “go-to” list was always something shiny, something blingy, something spa like and/or something bubbly. And obviously that’s not to say that I don’t LOVE those things anymore (I do!), it’s just to say that other things moved rapidly up the list…like this Babboe cargo bike for example. I saw it a couple months ago on Instagram and I kept telling the hubby that I wanted it for me and Mia. You know, so we could ride it to the beach, to the farmers’ market, to the playground…basically all over Miami Beach. Well, the hubby did good and ordered the bike for us and after 6 weeks of waiting, it arrived. Straight from Holland via Orange Pedal Bikes… View Post
