In this day and age, it’s a miracle we can accomplish all the things we have on our plates let alone find time for a little pampering so the new service by the SpaFinder team is perfect for the modern day busy lady (or man). I was invited to lunch on a private yacht (yes, rough day for me) and chat with the CEO of SpaFinder, Pete Ellis, about their newest addition, Last Minute. So come and cruise away with me ;)
Any time I can spend my morning shopping, learning and brunching at Saks Fifth Avenue in Bal Harbour is time well spent ;)
I was invited to the private preview of the Chantecaille makeup line and spend the morning with some other lovely Miami Fashion Bloggers. We learned a lot about this small family run business that features a big eco-friendly vision and a compassionate heart. Omar Lima-Chavez, their Southeast executive, told us the history behind this great line and shared with us their philanthropic works which this year include the “Save the Sharks” palette featuring Spring’s best colors; 5% of the profits from this palette go to the Bloom Association, an organization working hard to preserve and save sharks from extinction.
A beauty company that truly cares…now that is something I can definitely support.
Miami has a truly fabulous circle of fashion bloggers and luckily we’re all excited to see each other when we have a chance to get together. Carmen Ordonez from Viva Fashion Blog hosted a delicious (and chic) luncheon for some of us in honor of Jergens’ newest Crema collection at the glamorous St. Regis Hotel. It was a great way to try out this fab new product and spend the afternoon chatting up with some of my favorite ladies in the blogosphere. Here are some pictures (thanks to Carmen for sending most of these to us).
We all know that being in the sun is “no bueno”, but when you’re pregnant, that “no bueno” turns into “no way, Jose!!” So, my once glowing Miami tan had been neglected for the last 7 months…that is, until the fab team from FakeBake reached out and invited me to try their spray tan products. Obviously I eagerly accepted the opportunity to spend the afternoon in the luxe penthouse of the Soho Beach House and get my preggo glow just a little more Miami chic ;) This is me, after a fun (and totally preggo safe) spray tan session.
In this day and age…mail usually means a box full of bills, some random catalogs and if we’re lucky…a fashion magazine. But thanks to the lovely people at GLOSSYBOX, it can also mean a fabulous box full of products you’ll love to try and use. I was offered a chance to sneak a peak into what the buzz is about and let me tell you, GLOSSYBOX does not disappoint. Take a look at everything inside…
Wash it every other day, get frequent trims, use weekly hair masques and above all, always use quality tools. There is nothing chic about mistreating your hair with a less than stellar flat iron…so that’s why I’m offering to help you out. Think of me as your own hair cupid…with a slightly better shoe collection ;)
I’ve teamed up with the ridiculously talented team at Junior & Hatter salon to showcase just how amazing the Theorie Saga flat iron is and since I know how important it is to have one in your beauty arsenal, one of you lucky readers will get your very own! Enter below to win. The winner will be able to chose their own color and size…yeah, it’s kind of a fab giveaway, right?
Getting organized is always one of my resolutions and this year, it kind of became a “must do” with our two bedroom apartment soon becoming home to a new baby…so we desperately needed to organize, rearrange and maximize our space. The areas I focused on for this project were my bathroom counter with my makeup, my jewelry armoire which housed all my jewels and the corner of our master bedroom which used to serve as my “blow out” station. I knew I could consolidated the three and save some space (and make myself a true beauty corner). I was able to do this project for around $330.00 total so it felt like a cost efficient way to check one of my most daunting resolutions off the list. Here’s what I used:
A couple weeks back a fabulous reader reached out to me and asked me about the lotions I am using…and as a pregnant woman, I can tell you that lotions essentially become your bathwater…meaning you will cover your whole body in it. Luckily for me, my “bathwater” is made of from all natural ingredients and luxurious herbs thanks to the fabulous company that is Rica Body. And these products are not just amazing for preggos like me, but for anyone that loves a little pampering…and honestly, isn’t that everyone ;)
After the hecticness of Art Basel, it was a real treat and total beauty blessing to be invited to spend the afternoon at the beautiful Elemis Spa at the Loews Hotel. I met up with fellow fashion bloggers Ginger Harris and Ria Michelle for a little pampering and girly time. I left with a new found love for Shellac (CND) products and of course, happy hands and feet…
