As I previously mentioned (here), Gap has a new home on Lincoln Road. I was invited (along with some of my favorite blogger gals) to a private soiree to sneak a peak at the store before it officially opened to the public. The store is absolutely stunning. The architects (Touzet Studio) did an amazing job. It’s super bright, airy, modern with a dash of Art Deco and HUGE! I loved it! It has everything you could think of…from men to women to kids to maternity. I saw so many cute items that I know will be making their way into my closet but mostly I was drawn to the ridiculously cute kids’ section. I want to buy Mia every single item.
Not an exaggeration at all. I think Gap makes some of the best baby clothes out there. High quality, great pricing and trendy styles…
Some of my favorite gifts at my baby shower were from Baby Gap. Here’s a couple pics from the event and what I wore to welcome Gap back to Lincoln Road. Continue reading
What’s that I spy over there?? Well, it’s non other than the newest kid on the block…sort of. Gap has been a Lincoln Road staple for a long time but you could say they’re moving on up. Their new digs were designed by the local award winning duo of Carlos and Jackie Touzet from Touzet Studio. The new and modern structure did a beautiful job of incorporating the iconic and historical architecture that has made Lincoln Road Miami Beach’s most walked street. It truly respects the forms of the past and absorbs the light and materials of Miami Beach itself.
This new Gap store is a two level shopper’s dream. It’s 19,000 square feet (shop till you drop!) and will feature women’s, including GapFit and GapMaternity, as well as men’s, GapKids, babyGap and GapBody. Talk about one stop shopping for the whole family. Personally, I love the Gap for its easy, laid back approach to clothing. It fits our Miami personality perfectly. Gap wants to welcome EVERYONE to their new “home” and give you a customized gift. Keep reading for more deets! Continue reading
Ooops…I’ve done it again. I’ve lost my patience when shopping for new jeans. I gave up and vowed to live in sweat pants. My cries must have been heard by Saks Bal Harbour and their team at the Denim Bar.
Enter Leslie, whom I shall call my personal denim concierge, to the rescue. Continue reading
Last week was chalked full of events and Thursday was no exception. Bebe invited me to partake in their “Bebe Spring Fling” which included a meet and greet with supermodel Nina Agdal. I was treated to a new outfit by Bebe to wear for the soiree. I loved their entire Spring collection but immediately gravitated towards this flowy maxi dress with a sexy back and cutout sides. Personally, I hope that maxi dresses never go out of style because I could live in them. There is a certain elegance that goes with them and of course, the comfort is unbeatable. This dress was perfect in every department. The pattern was fun and different, the material flowed with the Miami wind and the cutouts allowed me to show just the right amount of skin. I paired it with flats for a super easy Miami chic look.
Innovation is key in any new product launch. You’ve got to create something that people didn’t know they wanted and you’ve got to make it good.
And I’ll be honest, I was a bit apprehensive about trying out a “wine in a can”…(that’s the wine snob in me coming out) BUT I really did enjoy the wine invention that was created by Friends Fun Wines. It’s delicious and totally portable!
Since I’m admittedly a (wine) snob, the fact that the beverage is made in France is a big plus for me. It’s also not full of artificial sugars and with only 6% alcohol, this is one yummy adult beverage I won’t feel guilty enjoying (especially since I’m still nursing Mia).
And as the name implies, this drink really is meant to be shared with friends. This would be perfect for brunches at my house (yes, you’re invited), pool parties, boating trips and pretty much every other activity under the sun. Thanks to Friends Fun Wines for hosting such a nice night out at the Delano…I really enjoyed sipping and tasting all the flavors, catching up with my favorite boo, Ria Michelle and getting to know the funny Marysol Patton (from the Real Housewives of Miami).
It’s true…I’m guilty of having shopper’s remorse. It usually happens when I splurge on something only to find out that I could have gotten it at a better price somewhere else. Well, I don’t want that to happen to you. I’m nice and thoughtful like that ;)
To help you, allow me to introduce to you the Gilt City Miami Warehouse Sale…it’s like redemption for every shopper’s remorse you’ve ever felt. You will be shopping the best of designers at the lowest of prices. It’s crazy, it’s exhilarating and it’s this weekend. Tickets run around $10.00 for admission (click here) and trust me, it’s worth every penny. Continue reading
It’s the awesome time of the year where bloggers from all over Miami come together for the very important “Fashion for a Cause” campaign in order to help raise breast cancer awareness. I was a part of this campaign last year (see post here) and I’m so honored to be able to participate again with 30+ other fashion bloggers for this year’s project. I loved working with Alex from Alta Images and major shoutout to the Sagamore Hotel for allowing the shoot to take place in one of their fabulous bungalow suites. Continue reading
Have you noticed that intense buzz in Miami? Well, I’m here to tell you it’s about to get real hot (like seriously caliente) in Miami Beach. Miami Swim Week always brings the heat, the fun and the fashion. There’s a kazillion events, fashion shows and parties but one thing that you must not miss is the Escape Miami Style Lounge.
I know, I know…I’ve been totally and literally MIA (missing in action)…even after the last post where I mentioned that I would be back into the routine of things. Tisk, tisk.
I’ve scolded myself so you don’t have to…but for the record, I would like to say that I am coming back to full-time blogging soon…real soon. And to make up for my absence, I want to share with you all a fab little perk especially for my Miami guys and gals.
Van Michael Salon in South Beach is celebrating their 12 year anniversary and to thank the rocking city of Miami for all their years of loyalty, they’ve got a sweet deal going on now which involves some major FREE stuff.
Yeah, they have an anniversary and we get to reap the benefits. Winning!
For the first 12 days of July, the first 12 people to call the salon each day and wish them a happy anniversary will receive a complimentary cut and color and experience Aveda rituals and world class service with their newest talents, Sean, Roxie and Bethany.
That’s all it takes, friends. Just call them up, show them some love for their anniversary and get yourself a new look. So don’t just stand there…pick up the phone and give them a call ;)
Happy dialing, friends!
PS…Here’s their number: 305-534-6789
At the time of this post, I was 38 weeks pregnant…and being offered to chance to try out Miami’s newest AAA 4 star restaurant was a no brainer…I mean, when you’re pregnant, you simply can’t pass up the chance to have a delicious meal. So the hubby and I went out for dinner…and what would unknowingly be our last dinner out as a couple sans children. We headed to the Bentley Hilton and walked into their De Rodriguez Cuba restaurant for a true Miami inspired meal.
(Side note: It was really hard to take clear shots because of the lighting but trust when I tell you that the food looks absolutely beautiful upon presentation)
