I’d be lying if I said I don’t miss my high heels. I do. I miss them very much. Sometimes I create scenarios in my head and pretend that I’ll be going somewhere that requires me to be in heels…so I’ll get dressed for my everyday errands/life and put on some heels. It doesn’t last very long, I almost always change back to my ballet flats after an hour or so, but that hour of high heel wearing recharges me and gets me, well, a little high. Pun intended. Mom life is basically being able to be on the go,… View Post
Lucky me, not only do I start a new calendar year but I also get to start a new birth year. My birthday falls on the 2nd and I think it’s pretty great. It’s like an extra kick from the universe to make sure I start anew with my mind and soul. Turning 38 doesn’t feel like a special age year (like 30 or 40) but it does signify that I’m approaching a whole other chapter with my 40’s right around the corner. We are all a work in progress and with every birthday, we can reflect on all the… View Post
So let’s be honest, a cold front in Miami means only a slight breeze and chiller temps. Define chiller, you ask? Oh, you know…like 65 degrees or so. Yeah, I know. We are total lightweights when it comes to the cold. Nonetheless, it does get fresh for our standards so we have to make due with our summer clothes and figure a way for them to work in the winter. I love adding a simple jacket over a dress. No need to go bulk, always a fan of layering. I love this Thakoon dress because it’s super lightweight and has great… View Post
I gotta be honest, I’m not totally sure that name is politically correct. I mean, I’m kind of making assumptions to what peasants wear when they may in fact be wearing something totally different and take my post’s title to be offensive…so for that, I apologize in advance ;) But I do love the look of this “possibly” peasant style dress. It’s flowy, it’s easy and with the right pair of shoes, it can make quite an entrance…so maybe it’s not so peasanty after all??
I’m a mom so I know a thing or two about rompers, but to be honest, I never actually thought about buying one for myself. For starters, I have a really long torso and most rompers/jumpsuits are too short for me and secondly, I never found one that I thought went with my style. Most are super short and sexy but I prefer a little longer and more consevative/classic. This romper from Banana Republic was the perfect blend of what I wanted. Length, both in torso and in legs, and classic ruffle detailing.
