This dress is pretty much the most “Princess Martha” dress I own. It’s classic but chic, it’s detailed but simple, it twirls beautifully yet it can be taken seriously. I love love love this dress. My most favorite thing, it’s cotton with just a little hint of stretch. I know, who knew something so “basic” could make me feel so luxe but honestly, there is something so fabulous about authentic fabrics. Silks, cottons, linens…they all hold special places in my heart and in my closet. I wore this dress for our annual family photo shoot (see that post here) and…

I’m not gonna lie to you guys…I own wayyyyy too many LBDs. It’s like my kryptonite. I have no will power when I see one that I like. And even though they all have the same color palette, in my eyes, they’re all unique and definitely necessary in my wardrobe. This 10 Crosby Derek Lam dress is a perfect in styling, cut, and bounce. I love the piping detail that can be seen once you get up close (and a little personal). It makes this dress look a little more polished and not so plain. I paired it with my…

I’d be lying if I said I don’t miss my high heels. I do. I miss them very much. Sometimes I create scenarios in my head and pretend that I’ll be going somewhere that requires me to be in heels…so I’ll get dressed for my everyday errands/life and put on some heels. Lucky me, not only do I start a new calendar year but I also get to start a new birth year. My birthday falls on the 2nd and I think it’s pretty great. It’s like an extra kick from the universe to make sure I start anew with my mind and soul. Turning 38 doesn’t feel like a special age year (like 30 or 40) but it does signify that I’m approaching a whole other chapter with my 40’s right around the corner. We are all a work in progress and with every birthday, we can reflect on all the…

So let’s be honest, a cold front in Miami means only a slight breeze and chiller temps. Define chiller, you ask? Oh, you know…like 65 degrees or so. Yeah, I know. We are total lightweights when it comes to the cold. Nonetheless, it does get fresh for our standards so we have to make due with our summer clothes and figure a way for them to work in the winter. I love adding a simple jacket over a dress. No need to go bulk, always a fan of layering. I love this Thakoon dress because it’s super lightweight and has great…
