I never intended to be a “super” breastfeeding mama in regards to the length of time my children would nurse. Truth be told, it was a very rocky road at first. I remember crying to fellow bloggers at an event 10 days after Mia was born and telling them I couldn’t do it. It was too hard. I hated it. My friends, fellow moms, comforted me and told me that it was okay to not nurse, to give her formula, that it would all be alright. And they were right. Either decision would have been alright and Mia would… View Post

I’d be lying if I said I don’t miss my high heels. I do. I miss them very much. Sometimes I create scenarios in my head and pretend that I’ll be going somewhere that requires me to be in heels…so I’ll get dressed for my everyday errands/life and put on some heels. It doesn’t last very long, I almost always change back to my ballet flats after an hour or so, but that hour of high heel wearing recharges me and gets me, well, a little high. Pun intended. I’m a big fan of natural fabrics. Give me all the cotton, silk and linen in the store and I’m a happy camper. There’s just something nice about wearing it and in my opinion, you always look top notch. Don’t get me wrong, of course I own polyester and blends but I find that more often than not, I find myself gravitating towards the items in my wardrobe that are breathable. Can you guys believe it…this is my last pregnancy post. I’ve made it to the other side although elastic waistbands are still my best friends…at least for the next couple weeks. I had a tough ordeal with this birth (thankfully the baby is okay) and I’ll share that story in a later post but for now, I’m just grateful and happy to be home with my family. Truth is, love and happiness have healing powers and there’s nowhere else I can get this kind of “fix” than right here in my own home. As for this look, these non maternity jogger… View Post

I’m obsessing about navy blue lately…it’s my new black. I feel like it’s a little easier to wear during the day and the the ability to keep the accessories day time friendly are easier (in my opinion). I have worn this dress to the thread, I swear. It’s a non-maternity dress but the shift dress allows me to wear it over my belly bump and still keep its style. I have done this a lot with my previous pregnancy and with this one as well…buying shift dresses in a size or two bigger than my normal size. This dress has… View Post
