My toddler, Mia, is acting exactly how I feel. Overjoyed. What a year this has been. For some it was good, for some it was bad, and for some it was just another year. For us, as a family, it started out pretty rocky with my body still recovering from the preeclampsia I suffered postpartum, but around May, things started to turn around. I got a clean bill of health, was able to start working out again (definitely helped my mood), and I finally felt like I could put that whole scary chapter behind. And I did. We left for… View Post
Yes, you, my little buddha baby. This post is for you. You’ve got your first year under your belt and I am so ready to start this next chapter of your life. Not that the first year wasn’t fun. It was. You’ve shown us how to be easy going. You’ve shown us all how to be happier. Your constant smile and giggles are contagious. My neurotic ways have been pacified by your peaceful stares and gentles touch. You, my angel, are exactly what we needed in the family. And that’s why I am so excited and overjoyed for what comes… View Post
So let’s be honest, a cold front in Miami means only a slight breeze and chiller temps. Define chiller, you ask? Oh, you know…like 65 degrees or so. Yeah, I know. I gotta be honest, I’m not totally sure that name is politically correct. I mean, I’m kind of making assumptions to what peasants wear when they may in fact be wearing something totally different and take my post’s title to be offensive…so for that, I apologize in advance ;) But I do love the look of this “possibly” peasant style dress. It’s flowy, it’s easy and with the right pair of shoes, it can make quite an entrance…so maybe it’s not so peasanty after all??
I’m a mom so I know a thing or two about rompers, but to be honest, I never actually thought about buying one for myself. For starters, I have a really long torso and most rompers/jumpsuits are too short for me and secondly, I never found one that I thought went with my style. Most are super short and sexy but I prefer a little longer and more consevative/classic. This romper from Banana Republic was the perfect blend of what I wanted. Length, both in torso and in legs, and classic ruffle detailing.
