Spring has sprung…or as we say in Miami, summer is here! Seriously, the temps are in the 80’s and the humidity is wrecking havoc on hair all over the city. But I’m not complaining…that much. There’s something so Miami about this weather. I mean, I love a cold front and who doesn’t adore their hair when the air is dry, but these temps now are perfect for beach afternoons, sunset drinks at The Standard, strolling around Lincoln Road, grabbing sushi at Pubbelly Sushi’s patio…these temps are as Miami should be. Now is the time to bare shoulders, get some… View Post
So let’s be honest, a cold front in Miami means only a slight breeze and chiller temps. Define chiller, you ask? Oh, you know…like 65 degrees or so. Yeah, I know. We are total lightweights when it comes to the cold. Nonetheless, it does get fresh for our standards so we have to make due with our summer clothes and figure a way for them to work in the winter. I love adding a simple jacket over a dress. No need to go bulk, always a fan of layering. I love this Thakoon dress because it’s super lightweight and has great… View Post
I gotta be honest, I’m not totally sure that name is politically correct. I mean, I’m kind of making assumptions to what peasants wear when they may in fact be wearing something totally different and take my post’s title to be offensive…so for that, I apologize in advance ;) But I do love the look of this “possibly” peasant style dress. It’s flowy, it’s easy and with the right pair of shoes, it can make quite an entrance…so maybe it’s not so peasanty after all??
I’m a mom so I know a thing or two about rompers, but to be honest, I never actually thought about buying one for myself. For starters, I have a really long torso and most rompers/jumpsuits are too short for me and secondly, I never found one that I thought went with my style. Most are super short and sexy but I prefer a little longer and more consevative/classic. This romper from Banana Republic was the perfect blend of what I wanted. Length, both in torso and in legs, and classic ruffle detailing.
I’m a big fan of natural fabrics. Give me all the cotton, silk and linen in the store and I’m a happy camper. There’s just something nice about wearing it and in my opinion, you always look top notch. Don’t get me wrong, of course I own polyester and blends but I find that more often than not, I find myself gravitating towards the items in my wardrobe that are breathable. They just make me feel ahhhhhhh. Banana Republic gifted me this gorgeous silk dress last year right before my preggo belly popped so I didn’t get a chance to… View Post
