I’m a mom so I know a thing or two about rompers, but to be honest, I never actually thought about buying one for myself. For starters, I have a really long torso and most rompers/jumpsuits are too short for me and secondly, I never found one that I thought went with my style. Most are super short and sexy but I prefer a little longer and more consevative/classic. This romper from Banana Republic was the perfect blend of what I wanted. Length, both in torso and in legs, and classic ruffle detailing.
There’s something about zippers on clothing…it makes it feel a little extra sexier, daring and adventurous. Take this dress from 4.Collective…it’s just your normal classic silhouette but that zipper that runs all along the side of it makes this dress stand out from your ordinary wardrobe staple. The most important rule in maternity wear is to stay true to your style and never be afraid to try it on. I bought this dress at Banana Republic after having fallen in love with the material and the color. I bought it a size bigger than I normally wear and voila! it zipped! A shift dress is always in style and in my opinion, it’s the perfect silhouette for a preggo…so go ahead, hot… View Post
If you’re a “Sex and the City” addict like I am, you know that Carrie wore the infamous “naked” dress for her first date with Big. This is the modest, preggo, not quite as saucy version of it ;) And the trick to being able to use my dresses while pregnant is to make sure that the “waist” is not actually on my waist but higher than the baby bump. So this dress is definitely a keeper in my maternity wardrobe. This is what I wore:
